Hoseasons Helps Trelay Hideaway Triple Capacity and Boost Bookings...

Hoseasons was the first name Trelay Hideaway Holiday Park owners Chris Allerston and Rebecca Nattrass thought of when considering how to grow their business. The pair brought the long-established self-catering specialists on board to help reach potential guests and drive bookings in October 2023.

Recognising the brand’s size, scale and huge marketing muscle, Chris knew the company’s business support team would prove to be the perfect partner when it came to identifying and capitalising on opportunities for growth.

Eighteen months later he is looking forward to a lucrative year ahead with 19 rental units – more than treble the six it started with when Hoseasons came on board – something he says would not have been possible without access to its sector-leading market analysis, pricing strategies, and demand forecasting.

“We knew we wanted to grow, but we wouldn’t be pushing on quite so boldly without the insight we get from the team at Hoseasons. The real-time booking trend and competitor benchmarking data they’ve provided has given us the confidence we need to invest in the park and generate a healthy return on investment.”

Trelay’s commitment to exceptional customer service, combined with Hoseasons’ expertise in guest engagement, has led to a significant increase in review participation and outstanding feedback over the last 12 months.

By leveraging Hoseasons’ insights on response rates, guest expectations, and review trends, Chris and his team have implemented a tailored approach to enhance the guest experience and encourage more reviews. Hoseasons’ dedicated account managers have been central to ensuring the Trelay team concentrate their customer service efforts in the right places to generate the best review scores and repeat bookings.

As a result the park has adopted a boutique, hotel-like experience that sets it apart from competitors. Personalised pre-arrival calls, tailored welcome cards, on-park check-ins and post-stay follow-ups ensure every guest feels valued from the moment they book to the moment they return home.

This commitment to excellence extends to maintenance and cleanliness, with rigorous quality checks ensuring every stay meets the highest standards. Feedback is continuously reviewed and acted upon, with recent park investments, including upgrades to the play area, directly influenced by guest insights. This strategy has delivered impressive results.

FROM SIX TO NINETEEN units: Trelay’s expanded accommodation offering is a testament to strategic investment and bold ambition.

Last year, 40% of Hoseasons’ Trelay guests shared their feedback on Feefo, giving the park an outstanding overall rating of 4.9 out of 5.0. The helpfulness of staff was rated a perfect 5.0 across 137 reviews. Other recent on-park improvements include the addition of two on-site EV chargers as well as pergolas over the park’s hot tub areas.

These upgrades were driven by insights from Hoseasons’ annual conference in November and made possible through the exclusive Strategic Partnership Network - a portfolio of trusted, industry-leading suppliers which are endorsed by Hoseasons. These have enabled Chris and his team to stay current in a competitive market.

Trelay Hideaway Holiday Park was crowned Hoseasons’ Best Small Relax and Explore destination in Cornwall 2024 in recognition of its great booking performance and fantastic reviews. “I firmly believe that if we are proud of the park, guests will like it too, and if guests like it the bottom line will take care of itself,” Chris concludes.
