BEACHES IN INSTAGRAM FRAME

New research has revealed that Cornwall’s Kynance Cove is the UK’s most Instagrammable beach in the UK. A study by photo wall art creator StoryBoards analysed Instagram hashtag data and the length of 50 of the UK’s most popular beaches to find the top ten beaches and coves with the highest hashtags per metre count.

The study found that Kynance Cove in Cornwall is the most Instagrammable beach in the UK. The cove has over 66,000 posts on Instagram, and with a length of just 200 metres, this equates to 331 posts per metre. Kynance Cove is known for its white sands and turquoise as the cove is part of the National Trust.

Taking second place is Brighton Beach, located in East Sussex. The popular tourist hotspot has over one million posts on Instagram, which equates to 214 posts per metre of the three-mile-long beach. Brighton Beach is host to multiple watersports such as windsurfing, Kayaking and sailing for tourists to enjoy.

Fistral Beach is the third most Instagrammable beach, with over 134,000 posts. Fistral Beach is often called the UK’s best surfing location and has 180 posts on Instagram per metre of beach. Apprentices Boost Business

Young apprentices are easing the work load and boosting morale at an East Sussex holiday park.
Crowhurst Park Holiday Village has seen major improvements to its workforce after taking on apprentices from Sussex Downs College since 2014.
Hospitality manager Julie Hannah currently has four apprentices and is about to welcome two more to the events team at Crowhurst Park.
According to Julie, the apprentices that have joined the team and have helped to increase motivation and productivity. Furthermore they have increased staff retention, helping to reduce the high turnover of staff that generally plagues the hospitality and events industry.

Julie explains: “With so many graduates looking for work, many employers are seeking experience and qualifications, and this is where I feel the apprenticeship scheme really comes into its own. It offers young people the chance to earn whilst they learn, and with the current government support offering funding and opportunities right up to degree level, apprenticeships are finally offering a real alternative to university.”
Julie aims to spread apprenticeship recruitment across all of Crowhurst Park departments in order to continue revitalising the business.
She adds: “The experience has been overwhelmingly positive for me as an employer, I only wish I had done it sooner. Apprenticeships are only going to grow and grow, in terms of popularity and choice, over the next few years and it won’t be very long before it will be a standard recruitment practice.”
