Bake Off Raises Vital Funds

The team at Silver Sands Park reaped the rewards of their coffee and cake event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Staff and customers at a Lossiemouth holiday park raised £2,575 for Macmillan Cancer Support after hosting a coffee and cakes morning.
Team members from Silver Sands served up food and drinks for more than 75 guests, with extra funds being raised by holiday home owner Sandy Geddes who was sponsored for shaving off his beard, and entertainments manager Jamie Hadingham who had his legs, arms and chest waxed.
The cakes were baked by holiday-home owners from Silver Sands, who tapped into their inner Mary Berry’s to deliver a mouth-watering menu of sweets for the charity event.
Rebecca Grant, general manager at Silver Sands said: “We are delighted that so many people took part, both in bringing cakes and then dipping into their purses to raise so much for the Macmillan nurses.
“Having a natter over coffee and sweet treats is the perfect way to raise money for charity. Thank you to everyone who got involved.”
